In 2015, at the age of 23, Netravalkar moved to the United States to pursue his passion for coding at Cornell University. He balanced his academic pursuits with his love for cricket, eventually becoming a key player for the US national team. His bowling skills, including his ability to swing the ball and maintain consistent line and length, proved valuable assets for the US team.
Saurabh Netravalkar Cricket Career
He was a talented left-arm medium-fast bowler and progressed through the youth ranks in Mumbai. His skills were recognized, leading him to be selected for the India Under-19 team for the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. He emerged as the team’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament.
Despite his success at the U-19 level, breaking into the competitive Indian senior team proved difficult. He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy season but couldn’t secure a permanent place in the team.
